I can't see my camera screen

1. Allowing Camera and Microphone permissions in the browser/app

While there is an icon to toggle the camera in Gooroomee, if camera and microphone permissions are not allowed in the browser or app running Gooroomee, the camera may not turn on.
Even if you don't intend to use the microphone, granting microphone permissions is necessary for the proper functioning of the camera, so please make sure to allow microphone permissions.
Below are the methods to set camera and microphone permissions in browser or app.

1) Chrome browser (PC, Mobile)

Click on the lock or settings icon on the left of the browser's address bar to verify that both camera and microphone permissions are allowed.
PC
Mobile

2) Safari browser (Mac, iPhone)

Mac
Please allow access to gooroomee.com for both in Safari > Settings > Websites > Camera and Microphone.
The default setting is 'Ask,' and if you set it to 'Allow,' you won't need to press the allow button every time.
iPhone
Please allow access to both the Camera and Microphone every time you enter the study room.
If you don't see the permission pop-up, click on the AA button next to the address bar, then go to Website Settings. Change Camera and Microphone in 'Allow Gooroomee.com to Access' to Ask or Allow, and then re-enter the coordinate screen.

3) iPhone Camstudy app

Please allow access to Camstudy for both in Settings > Camstudy > Camera and Microphone

4) Android Camstudy app

Please allow all permissions for Settings > Apps > Camstudy > Permissions > Camera and Microphone

2. Enable privacy settings on your Windows PC

In Windows PC, you can allow device-specific Privacy Settings separate from your browser.
In the Windows search bar, search for 'Camera privacy settings' and 'Microphone privacy settings' to verify that all the items are set to 'On.’
‘Camera/Microphone Access’ On
‘Let apps access your Camera/Microphone’ On
‘Let desktop apps access your microphone’ On

3. Camera device issues

The camera may have poor contact or be malfunctioning, resulting in an invisible camera screen.
After closing the Gooroomee window, please search for 'Camera' in the Windows search bar and check if the camera works when you open the 'Camera' app. On a Mac, you can check using 'FaceTime' instead of a 'Camera' app.
If the camera does not work in the ‘Camera’ app, it means the device is not functioning, so please contact the manufacturer for assistance.
